Chapter 15
Chapter 15

Sorry the last chapter isn't as good as chapter 13. The last chapter had to be done cuz something big happens at the party. It's not in this chapter, sorry about that, but it'll be in chapter 18. In this chapter, jealousy will happen and Adam and Anna will have a cute moment, :D Plz enjoy!! By the way, thank you for the comments, votes, and the two new fans!! Thank yew!!!! I'm almost to my next goal!

The days passed by quick. Lunch went smooth and the classes went fine. Adam is in one of them. Too bad he pays more attention to his friends than me. But... maybe he doesn't see them often? Otherwise I'm just making up excuses. The only thing that disappointed me today was that I never saw Adam in the library. Was does this mean? Lead a girl on, and ignore her for no reason! Sometimes I wondered if Lucy was checking him out. We barely talked these last few days, and Lucy was always jealous of us.

I sighed as I went in the elevator. It was empty. I clicked the button that my dorm was in as someone pushed the doors open. I took it by surprise someone was in here. Most people took the stairs.

It was Adam though, of course.

"Hey," He greets me as we let the doors shut. He stood on the other side of the elevator. My eyes kept turning to him, but I quickly forced myself to look at the buttons. If Adam was going to ignore me, let the games begin!

"Sorry I haven't talked to you in a while," He said, finally speaking again.

Oh, so now he has noticed?

"Oh that's okay," I said trying to go along with it. I was dying for his touch and kisses. It's been two whole days! I was mad at him for not talking to me, but I stayed strong. I didn't know if he was coming back or not, and as you could see, I was worried. But he did come back. Just now!

"I didn't even notice you haven't talked to me in a while," I said, forcing myself to look at my shoes. I couldn't look into Adam's eyes saying that.

"Really?" He asked. He had no idea I was playing hard-to-get the whole time.

"Nope," I said, popping the 'p'.

He nodded akwardly, walking towards me. I looked up, my heart suddenly beating like a nervous wreck.

"Will you do the honors-" He began, looking at me straight in the eyes.

The honors of what? Marriage? I was just a teenager! I could see it in his eyes that this was a big question. He looked incredibly nervous asking me this, and I was getting nervous too. I could feel my heart beating 200 miles per hour. I finally relaxed when I heard his whole question.

"Will you do the honors of going out on a date with me?"

I sighed with relief. I thought he was going to ask my hand for marriage... or worst, a honeymoon. What could I do? I couldn't see myself getting married!

I was also glad he asked me out. I didn't want another physical relationship like me and John. I mean, look where that turned out... I was just glad he finally asked me out. Now we could really get to know eachother... and how I was from Sacremento...

I smiled. This is what any girl could ask for, a date.

"Sure," I said with a smile on my face.

"Be ready tomorrow afternoon. Wear a swimsuit underneath," He smirked.

"A swimsuit? At night? We're going swimming at seven?"

He laughed.

I frowned. Isn't a date supposed to be at seven? Aren't we supposed to go out on a romantic dinner like in Lady and the Tramp? Where were we going? I don't want to swim tomorrow night!

"It isn't at night. I said the afternoon, at 3 o' clock." Adam said, correcting me with the biggest smile on his face.

I frowned again, "Where are we going?"

"It's a surprise," He winked.

"Ugh," I groaned, "I hate surprises,"

"That's why it is a surprise," He smirked as the elevator doors opened.

He took my arm, shoving me out of the elevator.

No! I wanted to kiss him! I missed him, and felt like I haven't touched him in years!

"See you tomorrow. Three o' clock!" He reminded me, a proud smile on his face.

I nodded and smiled at him, waving goodbye like a dork as the doors shut.

I don't know what to think. I wanted a real date. Us at a table, eating food, and talking about our lives. But now what? We're going to slide down a kitty pool, and jump into freezing cold water in the fall? Was Adam crazy? "Bring a swimsuit," He said. And that was it! I was going to find the hottest swimsuit I could find in my suitcase. And hopefully, Adam will love it.

I opened the door, putting my coat and phone off to the side. It was kind of my usual routine here now. I was used to it.

I went to the center of my dorm, where my and Lucy's beds were to find an unusual sleeping bag. It had cute little monkeys all over and was pink. Was that Lucy's sleeping bag...? Is she letting a guy over?

I sighed, bending down to the sleeping bag. There was no way I was letting Lucy have a boy sleep over. If they were going to do 'it', do 'it' in another room please. I did not want to hear 'the noises'. I was still a virgin. It was bad for my ears. On the other half, I was a christian, I'm not doing that until I'm married.

I grabbed the edges of the sleeping bag, making the first fold when I heard the bathroom door open. I let go of the sleeping bag immediately, forcing myself to stand up. I didn't even know anyone was in here. Who knows what Lucy and the mysterious boy were doing in the bathroom.

But when the door opened, I relaxed. It had nothing to do with Lucy, it was Candice. I sighed in relief.

"What are you doing?" Candice asked, rushing to her sleeping bag in rescue.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, putting emphasis on here.

Candice slowly gritted on her teeth. "Is it okay that I sleep here?"

"We're not supposed to sleep in different rooms," I said simply.

"Please," Candice begged, "My roomate keeps ranting on-and-on about her tragic love life,"

I groaned. I was really nervous with getting in trouble at school again. Mom was still pissed about me ditching those last few days at my farm school. You can still hear the tone of anger in her voice when I'm on the phone with her. If I got in anymore trouble from a school, I swear, my mom may actually disown me. But... I guess if I ditched the first day with Adam already, then it probably won't matter breaking another stupid school law like this one.

"Ok," I said, heaving a sigh.

"Thank you," Candice finally breathed out, getting a large pillow from her bag.

"Tiffany is pointless! Everytime I try cheering her up, she just rants more about how her life is so stupid, and so messed up, and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah! She even told me once she was thinking of comitting suicide," Candice said, suddenly whispering.

"Really?" I asked. Teenage drama with boys was starting to get out of hand.

"Yeah, and I'm starting to get worried. I'm thinking of telling the counselor tomorrow at school. The only thing I'm scared about that, is Tiffany getting mad at me,"

I shook my head, "Do it! For her sakes..." I said. Watching Candice start to hesitate, I quickly say again, "She may be mad at you for now, but she'll be thanking you in the meantime,"

Candice listened as I spoke, her words falling silent. She looked miseable. I had no idea it was that bad. I thought it was some little thing, and now this would be a sleepover.

"Well, who cares about that," Candice began, trying to change the subject. "This is a slumber party," She grinned.

....................................................................................................................................................................................

The door to the room opened, and immediately, me and Candice rushed to the music playing and turned it down.

"What is going on in here?" Lucy shrieked as she came in. She stopped immediately once she saw Candice. As like me, she looked through her figure. From down to up, Candice wore cute bunny slippers, yellow pajama pants, and a pink tank top with a small yellow sweater on.

Lucy smirked, "You look like candy corn,"

Candice rolled her eyes, walking straight up to Lucy. I wasn't expecting for what she was going to say. "Look 'Ruby,'" She said, putting emphasis on Ruby, "I have to listen to your ****** comments at school, so why don't you just sit down, and shut that trap unless you have nice comments,"

Candice turned around as she turned the music back up. She turned towards me and started dancing, but I was too busy with my gaping, open mouth. She turned to see Lucy with the same expression.

"Wow," She began, "Shocking party,"

I tried to keep my muffle laughs together. I loved her attitude and the way she said that.

But me and Lucy's mouths were still open. I couldn't believe what she just said to her. In a way I was so proud of her, she stood up for both of us, but in another way, I wondered what Lucy will do tomorrow at school...

"Let's play Truth," Lucy immediately said, her gape disappearing.

Truth was just like truth or dare. Only... without the dare.

"Ok!" Candice said immediately, sitting down next to me on the ground.

"You guys..." I began, "I don't know about this, one of us will get hurt, and-"

"Geez Anna!" Lucy snapped, "Nothing will happen! It is just a game. ...Right?" She asked, a sly smile on her face.

"Right," I said, feeling uneasy.

"Now, " Lucy said, wearing a devious smile, "Let's begin,"

....................................................................................................................................................................................

"Truth," Candice sighed. She knew this was coming.

"Have you ever... Kissed a girl?" Lucy asked, a shriek of laughter from her.

"No," Candice snapped, "Unless you count kissing your cousin's cheek,"

"Oh yes," Lucy said, "That counts,"

I rolled my eyes.

"Anna? What is your truth?" Candice asked.

I sighed, deciding my truth was for Lucy. "Lucy,"

Lucy looked at me. She looked timid, like she knew something was going to happen, and it would. I grinned.

"Have you ever asked out Adam, and he turned you down?"

Lucy's face turned a bright shade of red. She probably never had felt this humiliated, and it served her right. She fell silent, trying to find what to say to keep her cool.

"Just admit it," Candice sneered. I already told Candice. ...Maybe that wasn't a good idea.

"Yeah... He turned me down," Lucy said, looking ashamed.

Candice seemed to enjoy this. She smirked and said, "Don't worry Lucy, we've all been there,"

"Who was the first person to dump you?" Lucy asked Candice, her confidence growing brighter again.

"It's Anna's turn to be asked something," Candice said, a smirk forming on her face again.

"I don't have anything," Lucy mumbled.

Candice didn't care. She spoke over Lucy anyways.

"Who was your first kiss?"

My first kiss ever was by the swings. John. He was a good kisser, better than Adam actually, although Adam was alot hotter.

"John," I said.

Lucy looked up all the sudden.

"Second?" Asked Candice, her smile growing bigger.

"John," I laughed.

"Not you're actual second kiss! The second boy you kissed!"

"Adam," I replied, watching Lucy glare at me in the corner of my eye. I quickly glanced at lucy then, but she turned right away. Why was she so angry at me? Jealous? Was it the fact that I got asked out by Adam, and she didn't?

"He hasn't kissed you in a while," Lucy smirked, "What happened?"

"Shut up Lucy," Candice said, "Your opinion is irrelevant,"

Lucy shot Candice a glare. I almost thought they were going to stand up and get into a catfight. That's how bad Lucy's glare looked. But they didn't.

"No Candice," I said anyways, trying to stop their bickering. It was getting way out of hand. "I'll answer. ...I actually think it was a setup. He hasn't talked to me in the last few days. Not because he doesn't want me anymore, but because he was nervous-"

"Nervous for what?" Candice asked, now interested. I haven't told Candice yet because what happened was just... like, three hours ago. But all that time, I've been in my dorm.

"He asked me out," I said, a smile spreading across my face.

"Wait! Shut up! When?" Candice said, the biggest smile on her face. Gosh, she was such a girl.

"Uh..." I stammered, "Like... three hours ago," I smirked.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Candice gasped, still smiling.

"He asked me out in the elevator, on the way up to my room," I said.

"Not long ago, huh?"

"Nope," I said, popping the 'p'.

"Bad presentation," Lucy smirked, "An elevator,"

"Lucy, you're just jealous," I said, not even thinking. I pressed my hand against my mouth, quickly regretting with what I said, but it was too late.

It was far worst from what Candice said. Candice and Lucy's mouths were both opened in shock. What was I supposed to do? Stand here and be akward?

I guess the 'truth' game was done.

Lucy never spoke at the sleepover again. She was so mad, she read a book and fell asleep. She yelled at us to turn down the music. So when we did, me and Candice just whispered amongst ourselves.

And the next morning, I got up so early and helped Candice leave. Dorm checkers were coming soon, and were not supposed to know that Candice spent the night. I hope Lucy could keep it a secret. Just knowing what I said to her last night made me feel really bad. She won't talk to me or Candice.

I kept trying to apologize, but why would she forgive me? And besides saying sorry, there's nothing you can do. So I leave it like that.

But why be jealous of me?
