Poems about Love
Author: Terra Blake

Chapter 12
The melody of the birds

Walls you can build up all around
Just to shield a piece of your world
Out of sight, out of mind
But I just know
That there's gotta be more to you
You just need someone to look through
To the shadows you try to bury
It's awfully dark inside those walls

But I'll help you knock down these walls
And cry together as they fall
Lift you from the dark
and run far away from here

Walls you can build them all around
But I'm trying to show you
You've got nothing here to hide
I will take you for what you are
Who ever you want to be
I dare to be with you, see you through
Hold your hand in the darkness

But I'll help you break down these walls
I know once they fall
You'll hear the melody of the birds
The truth within my words
