I grabbed my clothes and fixed my hair. Stood up and didn't bother looking back at Ethan.


"Goodbye." I said coldly, and I felt so glad that the words came out right.


There was a loud knock at the door, more like an irritating sound of someone who impatiently wants to blast the door open with his or her knocking. It must've been mom or dad, wanting to say goodbye to their son before the graduating ceremony, so I rushed to open the door so I can finally walk away from this man I despise.


"Hi!" He said with a huge annoying smile on his face. "I'm here to tell Ethan that I'm going to steal his girlfriend slash sister after he leaves for college."


My eyes widened, and I nearly strangled Irvine right on Ethan's doorstep.


I rolled my eyes at him. "Not in the mood for jokes." I said as I pushed him on his shoulder so he can move away and I can walk out, but he didn't even move an inch.


"Ethan." He said as he grabbed me by the arm and pushed the door wide open. "
