Peter has a doppleganger out there who not only shares the same name but though twelve days younger joins the same Lighthouse Service 6 years earlier. Both Peters have felt compelled to write of their exploits. Peter the younger had his book Stargazing published in 2003.

Star of the Four Kingdom takes you on a longer yet more informative journey as is fitting of his 13 years in the service. He learns his trade as a Supernumerary and visits a number of Lighthouses and tells of his experiences, he also explains the workings of the Lighthouse and lets his wife tell the story from the families point of view.
His exploits as an appointed keeper follows the traditions and expectations of the reader as he encounters the novel, humerous and sometimes surreal aspects of the job.

Gidday Peter
Real interesting stuff.
I am an ex-lighthouse keeper in New Zealand - Like most, made redundant through automation.
I am about to submit some lighthouse stories, not in depth like you, more anecdotal. Several chapters of funny or terrifying moments as a Relieving Keeper.
Yours in Fresnel,
Paul Trevethick (Paulus)
