Have you ever dreamed of running away?
Have you ever imagined exploring what is just beyond your reach?
Have you ever longed to do something amazing, something exciting?
Have you ever longed for a simple life filled with simple pleasures?

In 2010 our family sold up the typical Australian life to buy a yacht in a foreign country and sail the world. This is a real story about what it's like to quit the 9-5 and what it takes to do it yourself.

This is a fascinating adventure story about a real family who made a reality of what most of us have dreamed of doing.

I can so relate to what is written in the first chapters learning to sail getting caught by bad weather convincing partners dreaming and then the huge commitment to make it happen. anyone dreaming of going offshore sailing with a family should read this. anyone who has made that leap can enjoy the memories of what it took what it was like and all the joy of realising a dream. I wanted to write a book but could never match the eloquent way Steve describes his journey.

Just devoured the first few chapters written and can't wait for the next to follow. Makes you feel like you are on the journey with them. A most enjoyable read.

I met Steve and family out in Menorca, during their adventurous trip around the world. The family story provided an inspiring backdrop for both myself and the children in my class at school. We eventually followed them (via their website) all the way back to Australia. A fantastic read and wonderful adventure.

This is an absolutely gorgeous piece. The way you write is so relaxed and calm and, well, it felt like I was on the boat at 2 am. I really adore your writing style.
