Deadly Passion
Author: Sylvia H. Mullins

Chapter 4
Relief

I stare at the open flame
my lighter lets off.
The heat lighting the end of my cigarette.
I blow the smoke away from my face.
Something feels wrong,
The slight feel of relief?
its become foreign to me.

Only when
I smoke
I bleed
do I feel relief,
knowing I am dying.

A deep heavy sigh,
as I pull away my blades,
warm blood trickles down
my legs
my arms
they are crimson
Its beautiful.
