The Worst of my Poetry
Author: Jordan Yates

Chapter 24
I Walk Alone

Through the valleys and in mountains
Over hills, under tunnels
Friends and neighbors
And complete strangers
Ignore me
Shun me
I walk alone
My tears
Create new rivers, oceans and lakes,
My sorrow
Makes clouds, covering the sun,
I try to tell all that I see
But I walk alone
It's my own personal nightmare
Realized everyday
Screaming and screaming
With no one to hear
Except the air around me
My screams echo
Through the dense forests
Over frozen tundra
And into your heart
Yet you cast me from your mind
As I walk alone
I fall at your feet
Begging you for help
Blood trails behind me
As I follow you
Limping and screaming
Pleaing and crying
Needing your help
You leave me to starve
You leave me to die
Because I walk alone
