Chapter 32

Isabelle
"Candy's your sister?!"
"Yeah. You know her?"
"I fucking hate her!"
"Aww. Will a kiss make you feel better? He leaned in, and I punched in right in the nose. I think I broke it, but I ran out the car before I had time to figure that out. I wasn't going home. I wasn't going to the condo. The only place I could go is the park.
I ran over to it and climbed into a tree. It was quiet, secluded, and I could be alone.
I closed my eyes again and let sleep take over. I need this more than anything right now.

I opened my eyes and it was dark. I climbed down and smelled the air. It was going to rain soon. I sat on the bench in front of me and let the tears roll down my cheeks. These weren't for James, they were for me. I let myself become someone I'm not and I regret it. I hate myself for it!
I put my head phones on and put the song Bleed by Hot Chelle Rae. I had it on repeat when it started to rain.
With each passing minutes, it got harder and harder, and before I knew it, it was almost pitch black.
I closed my eyes and sighed. This isn't me. I've changed.
I saw a small light and it forced me to open my eyes. I saw a figure standing in front of me, but couldn't make out who it was. It looked like they were talking, but I ignored them. "...I..."
I was going to say I just want to be alone but I couldn't. I closed my eyes when I heard the thunder and felt unconcious.

When I opened my eyes again, it was about two thirty and I was changed, and in the condo bedroom. I sat up but it hurt a little. I sneezed and coughed a little. I guess I caught a cold.
I sighed and yawned. I looked around the room and saw one lamp on. At least it wasn't as dark as I remember.
The thunder sounded, causing me to jump, and somehow fall of the bed.
I made a loud thump, and the door flew open. "Are you okay?"
I looked up and saw James looking at me with a concerned look on his face. "I'm fine." I tried to get up, but it hurt in my ribs to much. I let out a small yelp, and he helped me back on the bed. "Thanks... I guess."
"You know I'm not with Candy right?"
"What ever. It's your life James."
"But Is..."
"Look, we both know neither of us want to be here. We're only here until our parents grow some common sense." I coughed a little and sniffled. "What happened earlier was a mistak-"
"No it wasn't. I'm glad it happened."
"I'm sure you are."
"I didn't mean it like that, Is." He looked like he was going to say something, but the thunder went off again and I jumped. "Are you afraid of thunder?"
"I'll be fine." I got under the blanket and tried to block out the thunder. But it went off again and so did the lightning. Then the power went out.
I held on to the blanket as tight as I could and started to panick. I really hate when it rains like this. But I've delt with it before, I can do it again.
Or so I thought I'd have to. "Just think of me as someone else okay? You're not sleeping alone tonight." He climbed into the bed and wrapped his around me. I took in a deep breath and memorized his scent. I didn't want to think of him as anyone else.
I pulled him closer and looked into his eyes a little. He did the same. We held that postition until I looked back into his chest. And that's how we asleep. In each others arms.
And I loved it.
