Tears & Heartbreak

Chapter 6

I met Axel on the beach on Saturday, as per. I squeezed his hand, and noticed he was wearing a ring. I picked up his hand. A snake was twined round his finger, it's eyes made of two tiny green gemstones. It had a pattern engraved into his silver back. "Nice ring," I said, smiling.

"Thanks," He replied. "Jazz gave it to me."

"Jazz?" I looked up, wrinkling my nose.

"Jasper," He shrugged. Oh. Right. So he was Jazz now, was he? That's just brilliant, isn't it? He wrinkled his nose. "What's up?"

"Nothing," I shrugged, sighing. Axel snuggled up to me.

"Babe, tell me," He said. "I won't tell anyone if you don't want me to. Have you done something you don't want anyone to find out, or something?"

"No," I shook my head. "It's nothing." He peered at me.

"It... it's not Jazz, is it?" He said. I looked away from him and shrugged.

"Yeah, kinda," I rubbed my forehead.

"Xander!" He said. "I love you, you know I do."

"I love you too, baby," I pulled him closer to me and kissed him. I smiled. "You know, Carrie and Jess have gone shopping, Paulie's with a babysitter, Stevie's at work and Damon's at Heidi's this weekend. The house is empty... we could go there now?"

"Best idea you've had all day," He kissed me on the lips gently.

We were having a cuddle under my duvet, after we were done. Axel stroked my hair. "You're so amazing," He whispered.

"You're more amazing," I said. "I love you."

"I love you too, baby," He snuggled closer to me and kissed me. Then the door banged and we both jumped.

I don't think I'd ever got dressed so fast in my life. I flattened my hair roughly, then Axel and I both went downstairs. Jess and Carrie were in the hallway, Jess weighed down with bags, Carrie sporting about five new scarves, a suede jacket I'd never seen before and a new pair of sunglasses. They both smiled. "Hi guys," Jess said, dumping the bags on the hall table and wriggling her fingers, shoulders and arms. Carrie took her shades off and raised her eyebrows.

"Have fun while we were gone, guys?"

"Don't know what you mean," I said, quickly. Carrie grinned.

"Well. Considering Axel is wearing your shirt, Xander, I think you do," She said. I glanced down. Shit, she was right. She laughed.

"You're thirteen, you shouldn't know about stuff like that," I said, moodily.

"You're fifteen, you shouldn't be doing stuff like that," She replied.

"I'm nearly sixteen," I sighed. "Anyway, just drop it, right?"

"Er... I'm gonna go use the bathroom, I'll be right back," Axel kissed my cheek. He'd left his phone on the table in the hall. It beeped and lit up. I wasn't reading it, exactly. It just got my attnetion, so I looked at it. I wished I hadn't. The screen was lit up with a message;

Jazz: Can we meet up, sexy? ;) x
