Poetry From The Weakened Soul
Author: Neil Evans

Chapter 101
Amends

I don't need to see
This old part of me,
Because it's another
Inborn flame put out.

And I see your eyes,
It's true love at first sight,
I can't live without you!
I don't even know your name!

I can't let go
They say they know
That we'll never last,
But they're wrong!

Our love can't be taken away!
I don't care what they say,
We can love, love forever!
Let go and I won't forgive you!

So now I'm burying the hatchet,
Putting the past away for good,
'Cause we need to make amends
Or this love could die!

Our love can't be taken away!
I don't care what they say,
We can love, love forever!
Let go and I won't forgive you!
