Poetry From The Weakened Soul
Author: Neil Evans

Chapter 21
My Heart Fell

When I see your face
I sometimes wanna cry
You're the best I could have
You're just so beautiful

Over the phone I hear
Your lips curl to a smile
And I just feel my
Heart is sinking inside

My heart fell for you, tonight
Just fell into my chest
Sunk deep and I loved it
When I hear you on the phone

Well, I'm just so slow
I can hardly follow your voice
You probably want someone
Better than me, I don't blame you

And did you hear me hesitate
I was just too scared
Because, I admit, you're
Just so perfect and I'm just

Too shy to tell you that
I love you so much
I couldn't live without knowing
You're at my side

My heart fell for you, tonight
Just fell into my chest
Sunk deep and I loved it
When I hear you on the phone

Well, I'm just so slow
I can hardly follow your voice
You probably want someone
Better than me, I don't blame you
