Poetry From The Weakened Soul

Chapter 19
Very Long Gone

Losing time through the grains of sand
You've stretched me like a rubber-band
Well you can stand beside him, hold his hand
So get away from me, this is my land

It's like you never even saw me
Hanging from the apple tree
Why couldn't you just come and see?
I loved you, but you always hate me

I know that you've lost your faith
Well then, just turn away from me
I can see what you're doing
And you're bound to hurt me again

Do me a favor, and just know
When you come back to me
I won't be here anymore
I'll be so far, so very long gone
