Chapter 18
Death Web

Misty hallucinations surround me
I wish I was somewhere else
Losing blood to the unfaithful
The strings are pulling me away

Now could you tell me
What the price has been
Deep-rooted in my mind
A thousand new sins inside

And, if blood be my cost
Just know, I was not lost
I followed, shepherded
I fulfilled my purpose, obeyed

Could I take anything back
I don't think I would
I've spun my spider's web
I await my next meal

Caught in the death web
Hope you see my eight eyes
Before I drain away your life
We both know, you'll miss me
