Piercing The Sky, A Book of My Poems
Author: Neil Evans

Chapter 181
Will This End?

In my mind
This world is different
Everyone's a blot of hate
Everything accusing me

With every wound I inflict
It's a little darker
I feel comforted by the sting
The blade against my skin

Every night I try to pray
Please, make this nightmare end
You could ask me how
But I don't know anymore

I lock myself away again
Press my head against the glass
Let the coolness freeze my wounds
As I'm isolated again

I wish someone would tell me why
Why do I feel this way?
Sometimes I think of the vein
Buried in my skin
If I cut deep enough
Will this end?
