Piercing The Sky, A Book of My Poems
Author: Neil Evans

Chapter 175
It's Three AM

I know it's been several days
And father time just seems cruel
But if I wade through the storm
I will find my reward, my love

It's three AM and I can't sleep
I'm setting myself up to fail
Letting myself get hung up
Knowing, in the end, I'll be put back down

If that's so wrong
Don't make me be right
Because I'd rather stay naive
I'd rather sit here and believe

And I'll wait a thousand days
Walk a thousand miles
Just to see that face once more
So I sit here and wait, restless and alone
