World Behind the Glass

Chapter 7
This Side of the Moon

Have you ever been the last one standing

On this side of the moon

Once everyone has left to sleep

Inside their cozy rooms

You missed the chance for one last dance

Out on that tile floor

So you packed your bags and with a backward glance

You were out the door

I lost your face in the Milky Way

In that sea of endless stars

When you forgot you ever loved

And went searching for who you are

Well I hope you found what you were looking for

Out there in our Galaxy

I don't know your voice anymore

What happened to you and me?

'Cause back on this side of the moon

I sit and wish I'd gone

You ain't coming back anytime soon

To the side of the moon I'm on

You made it 'cross the universe

On wild meteors

If you were here, you'd know it hurts

Not knowing where you are

Say hello to Jupiter for me

Give my thanks to Mars

Paint a scene from Mercury

And bring me shooting stars

And someday I'll go searching for

Myself, I don't know where

But instead of finding who I am

I'll find you out there
