Chapter 22
Lights Out

I turned out the light

          I shut the front door

Please don't come over

I don't want you here anymore.

You kept pulling me back and forth

          with your charm

The door is now locked and

           I've set the alarm.

You loved me, then you didn't

you just want to be friends

I can't be your yoyo

          this craziness must end.

I've learned a lot from you

          and that I'm grateful for.

But now my heart is empty

I've locked and closed the door.

I'm not really sure what

          it was that we had

and there were times when it

          wasn't half bad

Please let me go with my

          sanity and my pride

I've spent to many nights alone

          and I've cried.

Believe me when I tell you

          I will be alright

Its better than living

          a lie every night.

Don't worry about me, living

with you has made me strong

and what feelings I once had for you

          are now long gone.

You can't change your mind again,

          and expect me to bend,

I've closed my heart to you

          and I've begun to mend.

What feelings I had for you died in a

           little each day

It made it so easy to let you

          go your own way.

Don't' know if you know how to love

I'm not even sure you know what love is

But there's one thing I know and that's me

I'd rather be alone than with you wondering
