Chapter 21
Opening Doors

I opened the door

   I found a mirror

      I quickly shut it.

I opened the closet

  I found a Bible

     I quickly shut it.

I opened the cellar door

   I found a belt

       I slammed it shut.

I opened the attic door

   I found a locked trunk

       I slowly shut it.

I opened the door

  I saw my reflection

     I starred at it wondering.

I opened the closet

   I started reading the Bible

      I started questioning.

I opened the cellar

   I tried on the belt

      I started to reflect.

I opened the attic door

   I unlocked the trunk

I started to remember my dreams.

I opened the door

The mirror told me I was alright

      I smiled at my reflection.

I opened the closet

The Bible told me to forgive

I hugged it close to me.

I opened the cellar

   The belt no longer stung

I laughed as I threw it away.

I opened the attic

The trunk with my dreams was open

      I embraced them with Joy.

The door is now wide open

  The Mirror is clean

I stare at it often and smile.

The closet door has been removed

The Bible sits out on the table

I open it often and read with a smile.

The cellar is no longer there

   The belt is long forgotten

The people who used it were forgiven.

The attic  door remains shut

   The trunk is downstairs

The dreams are being lived with joy.
