Chapter 28
Coffee with a Stranger

Coffee with a Stranger

To sit and launch a little chat
incurrs a risk that leaves one at
the mercy of a stranger.

Conversations open up,
a world of views, life does erupt
in complex tangents, mixed and free
a stimulant.. thoughts symphony

I met her there quite old, yet bright
a living actress, uncontrite,
accepting fate with earthy trim,
enjoying life’s relentless whim.

She told her tales of joy and woe
I loved it. When I left to go
I wondered if she realised then
that in this man she’d found a friend.
