The Worst of my Poetry
Author: Jordan Yates

Chapter 10

Where were you
When everything was falling apart?
I was there to help you
When you were down and weak
When something went wrong
I was there
But when I need help
When something goes wrong
I'm on my own
You love me when you need me
If you don't, you leave me alone
You tease me, and abandon me
When all I needed was a hug
And maybe someone to listen
Who was there?
Not you
You were too self obsessed
Self absorbed
Too into your clique to notice
When I need a hand
You take things to far
And give me a solid "No"
What if I stopped helping you?
Would you notice?
Probably not.
What if I abandoned you?
Would you care in the slightest?
I bet you wouldn't notice
And you wouldn't act
Maybe I should leave
Go somewhere else
Be with other people
Who care
And listen
And don't abandon me
I have those friends
I just don't know where they went.
