Piercing The Sky, A Book of My Poems
Author: Neil Evans

Chapter 38
Everybody Loves

This poem, I think, is self-explanatory. Mainly it's about something that I thought was happening, turning out to be worse. Well, Monday, August 09 2010

Everybody loves
Everybody hurts
We all want to bleed
We all want to feed
Everyone wants to sell their soul
Everyone wants to leave their life

I want to be hurt
I want to bleed
But for some reason, I just get up
I raise my sorry head, thinking today will be different
People sometimes ask me
What's wrong?
And I never reply with the real answer
The real answer is: I woke up today

We get hurt so much in this life
And we don't even know
That's what we all really want
We really want to be hurt, feel the pain, have our heart break
We really want to cry, to have those gems fall from our eyes

Everyone wants to leave their life
Everyone wants to sell their soul
We all want to feed
We all want to bleed
Everybody hurts
Everybody loves
