Piercing The Sky, A Book of My Poems
Author: Neil Evans

Chapter 27
I Got This Disease

So I've done some stuff I shouldn't have. I've been indecisive, I've been hesitant, but I think deep down I knew what I was going to decide on in the end. Anyway, a sweep of guilt will probably come over me, soon, so to those who've been reading my poems: they've just gotten a new wave of vulgarity, and it's gonna stay. Completed in the early hours of Monday, August 2nd, 2010, it's called I Got This Disease

I think I caught a disease
Called heartbreaking
I think I have an addiction
'Cause it just feels so good
And damn, yeah, I played you
And damn, yeah, I lead you on
And I'm that guy
That never does something
And I'm that guy
That doesn't give a fuck anymore
The guy
That never wakes the hell up
Sees what he's got
And now I'm about to give up
Go back to who you want
I'm throwing you away
I'm burning the chapters
I'm a psychopath
I'm the biggest asshole you'll meet
Now go ahead,
Cry and scream,
Threaten to kill yourself
I'll sit here, but just know
I am crying
I am screaming
'Cause I've got this addiction
It feels so damn good
Yeah, I played you
Yeah, I lead you on
I never do something
I don't give a fuck anymore
I'll never wake the hell up
I'm done, I've given up
