Chapter 22
'Let's Give It A Try'

And we shall call it poetry. Yes, that's it. That's what we always call it. We're unaware of it's mediocrity, I guess, so we say it's poetry. But it's not. We know, deep down. Now look at me and tell me you're ready to see. . . . 6:55 AM, July 26, 2010 'Let's Give It A Try' has been born . . .

I look into your eyes, mine burn red
I'm ready to say 'goodbye'
You're ready to say 'give it a try'
So I take your hand and we plunge

Into the sea of the Abyss we go
Facing both friend and foe
And through it all, our hands never break
For we know, exactly what is at stake

Through all this I slowly come aware
That I have been gifted with the Devil's stare
Don't run, try not to fight
Just let go, it'll be alright

I stand in the world, helpless and alone
I've been washed and hung out to dry
And then I see Her with tears still streaming
She's so beautiful. oh God! I must be dreaming

And I look into her eyes, mine burn with a new flame
I'm ready to say 'Goodbye'
She's ready to say 'We'll give it a try'
So I take Her hand, and we plunge
