Piercing The Sky, A Book of My Poems
Author: Neil Evans

Chapter 11
Last Night's Dream

I wrote this on the morning of July 19th, 2010. I promised someone that I will give her at least one poem a day. I know I cannot write a poem a day, so I intend to give her those of other poets, such as Dante Alighieri (of course, letting her know I did not write them). I wrote this one, for her. I continue to write as long as I can, and these poems are just spilling out of me. Is it love? We shall see, but this poem, admittedly not too good for haste in writing, is Last Night's Dream

I dreamed about you last night
I was finally able to have you in my sight
I could hold you in my arms
I could kiss those lips
The ones I can only dream of
Now I think I've lost my mind
Because I can't stop thinking about you
Just tell me I can hold on
Tell me I don't have to let go
