Piercing The Sky, A Book of My Poems
Author: Neil Evans

Chapter 6
Please Don't

I kept this poem shorter than it would've been. I thought of continuing the poem for more lines, but it started getting repetitive--even more so than it already is. I have confidence this is a poem, but if it's good or not I am unsure. Well, this is again starting to get brighter than my other poems--I think, and I'm hoping that's better. Number 6 in my collection is called Please Don't

Please don't look into my dreams

I'm afraid they'll make you scream

Please don't look into my heart

You know that it will tear me apart

Please don't ask me why

Because I'd rather die

Please don't walk away

Or I won't see another day

EDITED ON JULY 3RD, 2010 THE LINES "the doctor says I'm okay/I don't think I'll be okay without you" WERE REMOVED.
