Chapter 1
Nightmare

Mom and dad's lifeless bodies... Puddles of blood areound them... Two bite marks on their necks... Cold fingers trailing down my arm... Hello, Kara...

I woke up gasping for air. "Kara, honey, are you okay?" " I know living without your parents will be hard but your not alone."

"I know that aunt Camilia, im glad i'm here and dont worry i'm fine."

"Fine enough to go to school?" Of course.

"Yes, i'll be right down." I stretched and slowly crawled out of my bed and went to the bathroom. The warm water felt great as i splashed it over my face. I changed out of my silk panjama set into a tight navy shirt and a pair of jeans.

I raced downstairs with my schoolbag feeling relieved. My aunt Camilia is about thirty years old, has brown hair, and I been livin with her in Los Angeles ever since my parents were attacked and murdered in our house two years ago. She is a nurse at the Star hospital in hollywood. She was lying on the couch reading something that didn't look very interesting. So I went into the kitchen and grabbed a box of frosted flakes out of the pantry. When she heard the pantry door close, she walked into the kitchen and smiled at me.

"Good morning, Kara."

"Good morning aunt Camilia" I said as I finished with the cereal and went to put it back in the pantry.

"Kara, sweety, did you have another nightmare?'

"Yea but don't worry it only lasted a few minutes."

"I would say I know how you feel when you get them but I don't." She said jokingly.

"Don't worry about and thanks for cheering me up."

"That's what I am here for." She said. "Okay, lets go so I can drop you off at school on my way to work."

"Okay let me just get my schoolbag." I said as I went into the living room and grabbed my schoolbag from the couch. And we're off.
