Chapter 33

Edward heard Max’s thoughts and announced that my flock was in trouble. Geez! I sound like Max with the whole “my flock” thing. Anyway, Edward and Jasper blew out the back door.

“Yeesh, Is your life always this dramatized?” I asked the big one, Emmett.

“No! Until Bella and you guys came along, it was dead beat BORING around here! You all make life so much more fun!” Emmett said laughing in a booming voice. Just then, the flock swooped through the door right behind the other two Cullens.

“Thanks guys. If you hadn’t come along, we would be a bird kid smoothie by now,” said Iggy.

“Gee Ig, thanks for that lovely mental picture,” I said. He gave me one of his famous half-smile, half-scowls that he was extraordinarily good at.
