Chapter 2
A Lamp Unto Her Feet

Lighting the steps as she goes.
Looking back behind her,

Could He have let her rest,
Under ever-present pressure?
Did He speak kind words to her,

Did He gently stroke her hair?
Step by step the pair move on,
Sometimes not so straight,
But always with the larger prints,
Lighting the safest ways...
