Chapter 105
THE GREAT PRETENDER

TODAY I PRETENDED I WAS DEAD
I PLACED CHIP BUTTIES AT MY FEET
AND A CHEESE CAKE AT MY HEAD

THE WHOLE WORLD JUST IGNORED ME
STEPPED OVER ME IF YOU PLEASE
NOBODY ATE MY SARNIES OR EVEN SNIFFED MY CHEESE

ITS NOT AN VERY EASY THING
WHEN YOU LISTEN TO THE CHURCH BELLS RING
KNOWING THERE TOLLING NOT FOR YOU
AND SLOWLY YOUR CHEESE CAKE BEGINNING TO POO

I THINK TOMORROW I'LL PRETEND I'M ALIVE
I HOPE THIS TIME MY PLOY MIGHT THRIVE
IT MIGHT TURN OUT GOOD MIGHT TURN OUT BAD
SOME TIMES I THINK
I'M A LITTLE SAD.
