I dislike Introductions hence I wont be leaving one. When I occasion a book with an introduction, I deliberately ignore it. I see the introduction as a pretentious upstart above its station of a Chapter 1. No doubt Im the lesser for this ignoring and it may explain why a lot of books leave me bewildered but for the reader here, no such fear should exist. If the reader should ignore this as I would, nothing is lost.

Thank you for that. Having had a miserable "long run" day today and totally falling apart 6 miles short of my intended distance--i can pretty much appreciate every word of this (including the parts about depression, weight, speed, age, etc). Thank you for sharing!
