Wataru is a shy and childish little boy. One day he sees a dead woman waving a knife at him. His mother is going out on a date, leaving him home alone. When the ghost returns, he's forced to challenge his fears and seek her out. In one night, his life is turned upside down. The people he thought he knew aren't what they appear to be.

Nakigara is a short and dense story, taking place in a short time and limited space. Much is only hinted at, and it should be read several times.
